Q1 How do I
make a reservation?
Enter your
accommodation requirements in our search box (use the advanced search box for
more options), then select the hotel you want to stay in from our results
listings and press "Book" next to the chosen hotel. You will be taken to a
Room Selection screen and then to our Secure Reservations Form. On the form,
just complete all the information required.

Q2 How long
does it take to make a reservation?
About 3 minutes.
Q3
Can I make a reservation directly through the hotel?
You can, but the prices
displayed on our sites are available only through our
service. If you make a reservation with the hotel, you will be charged on
average 10% to 40% more.
Q4 When do
you check availability?
We check availability
when you press the "Search" button: you will get a listing of hotels that are
available to book and comply with your search criteria: just press "Book" next
to your chosen hotel to make a reservation.
Should you wish to request any hotel that is not available you can do so by
pressing the "Request" button: you will be put on a waiting list and, should a
room become available, a reservation will be made for you and you will be
notified via e-mail.
We may also offer you alternative hotels with comparable rates and facilities:
you have the right to refuse our choice at no cost to you. Please remember
that by combining "availability check" and "reservation" into one step, we cut
on our cost of operations and thus we can offer you much cheaper prices and
save you time.
Q5 Are
taxes, services and breakfast included in your prices?
All taxes and services
are included. Breakfast is included in most 2/3 star hotels (unless noted
otherwise), but 4 star hotels usually do not include breakfast. To see if and
what type of breakfast is included just click the button marked "Meal Info" on
each hotel result.
Q6 Are your
prices by room or by person?
All prices in our
service are per room, not per person. For example, a price for a single
means a room with one person, for a double means a room with 2 persons, etc.
Q7 How do I
know my reservation is confirmed?
You will get instant
on-screen confirmation of your booking (which you can print if you wish). We
will also send you a confirmation e-mail, which will include the dates of your
reservation and the confirmed price. You may also view all your confirmations
in the "My Account" section.
Q8 How do I
make a reservation for someone else?
To complete a
reservation for someone else, simply type in his or her name instead of yours
for the guest name. Use the company address or a billing address for the
credit card you are using as the address.
Q9 Will the
hotel receive my booking immediately?
The hotel will receive
confirmation by fax at the same time you receive your confirmation. Please
note that there may be a small delay before the hotel enters the booking in
their own front office system.
Q10 What is
your cancellation policy?
Each hotel has a different cancellation policy, however the majority is 12 midday (UK time) 1 day prior to arrival, if cancelled beofre the cancellation deadline no charges will apply. However, if you cancel your reservation after, your credit card will be charged for the first unused hotel night. Please check the hotels cancellation policy at the time of booking. Please note also that you must agree to the cancellation policy when filling our booking form, when you submit your reservation.
Q11 Will you
confirm my reservation by phone?
No. We make
confirmations only by e-mail so please make sure that you have provided
us with the correct e-mail address.
Q12 Do I
need a credit card to make a reservation?
Yes. We will make a
reservation only when you provide valid credit card information.
Remember the credit card information is always treated as confidential and is used for guarantee purposes only.
Q13 How can I
be sure my credit card information is secure?
Q14 Who
debits my card?
When you make a booking
with our our sites we will request a credit card details to secure
your room reservation. Your credit card details will be passed onto the hotel
and held by the hotel as a guarantee only; the only time the credit card will be charged is in case of non-arrival or cancellation. Your hotel
bill must be fully settled on your departure from the hotel directly.
Q15 Can I
pay for the hotel accommodation by cash instead of credit card?
Yes, you can. As full
payment is made directly at the hotel you can change the method of payment as
you wish, however we will still require valid credit card details to guarantee
your reservation.
Q16 Can my
Company be invoiced for my accommodation?
As your booking agent
we are unable to authorise any credit between you and the hotel. However the
hotel will accept company credit card payment with required authorisations
(photocopy of both sides of the card, as well as authorisation letter/fax from
the card holder). Full VAT invoice will be sent by the hotel upon check out of
the guest.
Q17 Can I
book and pay for someone else?
You can both make and
pay for a reservation as a third party. If you are not present at the time of
transaction you will be required to supply the hotel with written
authorisation and photocopy of the back and front of your card.
Q18 Is my
personal information kept private?
Absolutely. We do not
divulge your personal information to anyone except the minimum necessary to
process your booking. For more information, please see our Privacy Policy.
Q19
How do I cancel or change the reservation I have made?
To cancel or amend
reservation, please access "My Account" link from the main page and
follow the prompts. Cancellation penalties will depend on when we receive your cancellation, see each hotel's cancellation policy for more details.
Q20
How do I change hotels?
To change Hotels,
access "My Account" link from the main page. Cancel your original
reservation and rebook at the desired hotel.
Q21 What ID
do I need to check in?
You will just need to
give the name that you made the booking under and/or a copy of your
confirmation email.
Q22 Can I
extend my stay once I am there?
You may be able to
extend your stay if you wish. However, this must be done in
consultation with both the hotel and DiscountCityHotels.net, as we have
negotiated special rates with each hotel. You may not receive the same room rates for an extended stay.
Q23 Where is
my hotel situated?
The full address and
contact numbers of the hotel will be listed on the confirmation page presented
after you have completed your booking. This will also be contained in a
confirmation email, which will be sent simultaneously at the conclusion of
your booking.
Q24 How can
you offer rooms at such discounted prices?
Using our connections with hoteliers we know (as we were hoteliers ourselves)
paired with the volume of business we produce, we have negotiated these
favourable rates.
Q25 Do you
offer additional discounts for senior citizens, students, airline employees,
etc.?
No. You will find that our prices are already heavily discounted;
consequently, we cannot offer any additional discounts, but for long stays we
will be able to get back to you with even better rates.
Q26 Can I
check in earlier than the check in time?
We provide you with the
time of guaranteed check in on each hotel information page. Early check in is
subject to availability on the day of arrival and depends on how many rooms
were occupied on the previous night.
Q27 Can I
check out later than check out time?
Most of the hotels
(subject to availability) will allow, usually without charge extended check
out until midday. However most of the hotels will charge for any extended stay
past midday, unless otherwise agreed with hotel reception/front desk.
Q28 Can I
leave my bags at the hotel?
Yes, you can leave your
luggage with the reception or in the luggage room until your room is ready.
Most of the hotels will extend the same facilities at the check out, however
some of the hotels may request a small charge.
Q29 Can I
see pictures of the hotel and hotel rooms?
Yes, we provide
you with pictures for each hotel advertised on our site on the hotel
information page. Please be aware that the hotel room photos are only a depiction of the type of
rooms on offer and may not represent the actual room described.
Q30 How can
I inform the hotel of my special requests?
We cannot guarantee any
special requests, however each booking form will provide you with a special
field for any information you wish a hotel to be aware of. All you special
information will be forwarded to the hotel on request, not guarantee basis and
the hotel will do their up most to satisfy your needs.
Q31 How do I
subscribe to our Hot Deals & Special Offers?
Subscribing is easy.
Just use our "Newsletter" link on the main page and we will update you
regularly on all the best offers. In accordance with our Privacy Policy we
will not send you any unsolicited e-mail or forward your e-mail address on to any third party.
