The staff were very nice and helpfull, especially those in the restaurant. Room for first night was awful; luckily they got me a better one for the next 2 nights.

receiption and bar area very good, bedroom and stairs require revamp! hotel staff very helpful, good full english breakfast, overall we would stay here again.

The room we stayed in was a little small, the window did not close properly and the bathroom cealing developed a leak with water dripping down from the floor above. The wall is a little thin, we could hear everything being said next door! Only that we could not understand the language. Hotel is a little mean with late checkout time. free checkout extension for one hour only, there is a GBP20 surcharge if checkout is later than one hour. Having said that, the bed is comfortable and the coffee/tea making facility is good.

EXCELLENT LOCATION: EXCELLENT HUNGARIAN BAR AND PORTUGUESE HOUSEKEEPING STAFF:EXCELLENT CHINESE AND INDIAN CONCIERGE:VERY UNCONCERNERNED PROUD POMPOUS KNOW ALL TYPE INDIAN RECEPTIONIST:VERY POLITE BUT UNINTELLIGENT SPANISH RECEPTIONIST:SMART POLITE PLUMPISH MANAGER ON DUTY: SMALL POKY ROOM HOLE:OLD 40 YEAR OLD DILAPIDATED TVs:ROOM PHONE NEVER WORKED: HAD TO USE MY INTERNATIONAL ROAMING MOBILE TO CALL RECEPTION FROM ROOM AT LEAST FOUR TIMES A DAY AT A COST OF UK POUNDS 14 a day for three nights. AS A THREE STAR BASIC ROOM SERVICE IS A MUST: EVEN FOR MINERAL WATER ROOM SERVICE WAS REFUSED. UNDERSTAND THE OWNER IS AN INDIAN RESIDING IN UK: IT IS A SHAME THAT AN INDIAN OWNER HAS FORGOTTEN ETHICS OF TRUE HOSPITALITY:IF THE OWNER WAS A BRITISH THE ATTITUDE WOULD BE EXCUSED AS TYPICAL TRADITIONAL BRITISH STANDOFFISH ARROGANT CARE A DAMN ATTITUDE:SHAME SHAME ON THIS HOTEL AND ITS OWNER WHO INSPITE OF MY REPEATED REQUESTS NEVER BOTHERERED TO CALL OR MAKE AMMENDS.

the location of the hotel was fantastic. however the room itself was tiny, the bathroom was terrible, the absence of a sink was a disgrace. the position of television in the bedroom was ridiculous, each time you went to the sink you banged your head off the tv.
