the hotel did not match up to the images on this internet site. the rooms were not very nice at all..... old with uncomfortable beds. Also the guy at the front desk was useless, taking over half an hour to find me a room (no reference of booking) and finally coming up with a quad with four single beds and not a double for me and girlfriend. the next room was unacceptable so i ended up getting a refund and staying at The Leonard Hotel which is very nice.

Easy hotel to find, right near the Paddington station. Nice girls in the receptions, maybe the boys need to learn from them? But why do we have to pay up front? The room we had was very difficult to find, the hotel is like a labyrint. Nice little room, but could have given us a included breakfast for the price we payed (read: little, but nice room for a "large" sum of money). Bathroom is as everything else nice, but small.. where is the water? HOT WATER?? Im amased by english hotels..why cant they give guests a greate modern hotel for a good price? But overall, we are happy...

I had (earlier) written an email to the hotel requesting for an early check-in. The mail was never acknowledged or responded to. We reached London after 12 hours of travel and were made to wait for 6 hours for a room.

Very good location in lovely Paddington area, close to Paddington Station. Route from the reception to the room was long and difficult to find, you needed to use the stairs. Room size of the single room was all right. Room could have been cleaner and needs redecoration! Compared to other hotels in the area, the hotel was all right - but it would not have been worth the full price. Would maybe try the suites located opposite to the hotel next time.

Hotel location was great, staff were very friendly. Changed rooms due to windows painted shut, next room had major heat from pipes in floors- consequently restless sleep due to heat and noise from local club/party. If room had been cooler- okay. Only real complaint is that the room was cleaned every day and we were given no choice, not very sustainable as the soap and towels were replaced every day. Could you please alert the hotel to alternatives, i.e. notices explaining the waste and energy from replacing towels, sheets, bin liners and toiletries every day and the long term effect on the planet. Thanks

This hotel has put me off the Best Western chain....terrible service. It took 4 calls over 2 days to get an ironing board, and the fan I requested never came (aircon did not work). Also, they put me in a single room when I had booked a double...and charged me the same price as a double!!! VERY unhappy with my stay there. Staff were very unhelpful.

Initially given basement room, very noisy. Electronic door lock failed so was moved to top floor. Quieter but very hot and traffic noise when window open. Staff very pleasant and helpful. Restaurant not good in evenings but loads of reasonable restaurants close by. Overall not bad for price.

Location was good and road was quiet. Room was very small with access to one side of the bed only- you can change T.V channels with your feet! Air-con fitted but not working. Bizarre route from reception to 2nd floor room, requiring Sat Nav due to poor signage. Overall, the accomodation suited our needs as a base to work from and represented good value for the money we paid, considering the hotel wanted double if booked direct. Use the Maxim Cafe-bar up the road for a good full english breakfast to set you up for the day.

Having arrived at the hotel we were told that the air conditioning was not working and we will be transfered to another hotel. However, we were asked to make the payment at this hotel before they transfer us elsewhere. When we arrived at the other hotel it was obvoiusly of a lower rating, the room was very poorly furnished, bed sheets were torn and the sink was in the room instead of the the bathroom. In addition, we were asked to pay at the second hotel as well; an amount that was considerably less than what we had already paid to the previous hotel. I would never recommend this hotel to anyone; needless to say that i would not wish to stay there ever.

Avoid the back of the hotel rooms. Our first night, despite having spent the money for a higher quality room, we were stuck in the smallest double room I have ever experienced (barely room for the bed crushed into one corner). One had to go through the lobby, up a flight of steps, down a short flight, through a narrow cut in the wall, turn left, go down a narrow hallway to a very narrow corner, through a door, down steps, then up three flights to finally reach the tiny room. The staff were helpful in managing a room change, but we should never have been placed in that first room to begin with. Should only be sold as a single with a smaller bed and only when no other rooms are available! Hotel restaurant is quite depressing, so plan to eat somewhere else. Just goes to show that bright photos on the internet do not always tell the tale.

Good hotel, great location The room and bathroom we had were very small; I guess we are used to North America standards, but it served the purpose. The room wasnt ready until 2pm the day we arrived which was unfortunate because we arrived from Canada a
