When
talked about the world’s greatest hotels, The Ritz finds
a unique place amongst the top-listed. A dream come true for Cesar Ritz who quoted
it as “a small house to which I am proud to see my name attached.” This
small house named The Ritz has 133 rooms all dipped in colours
of pink, blue, peach and yellow with the beautifully reinstated traditional furniture
and fine fabrics. The Ritz was designed like a Parisian block of flats with a three-storey
rotunda and lots of glasswork in form of chandeliers and high ceiling tops.
The Ritz Hotel London The interiors of The Ritz have been restored beautifully.
Every room is furnished in the Louis XVI style with French architecture showing
up the exclusivity, allure and the regales that existed 100 years ago. These rooms
are embellished beautifully with wall inflecting 24-carat gold leaf, fine fabrics
antique furniture along with royal enhancements. They also include amenities like
mini-bars, in-room safes, marble bathrooms bathrobes and slippers. As The Ritz is
a blend of antiquity with modernization, facilities like internet with voice mails,
ISDN lines and electric-power points has been provided individually to every room.
The Ritz is located at one of the best surroundings of London with
rooms opening to Knightsbridge, Hyde Park Corner, Piccadilly Circus and the amazing
view of Royal gardens of Green Park near Buckingham Palace. This edifice situated
at the heart of London connects well by public transport to the places like Heathrow,
Victoria Station, the London Eye, Gatwick Airports and other parts of the city.
There’s also a lot to see & shop around The Ritz ranging fashion shops,
library, galleries to private clubs at walking distance.
The Rivoli Bar, Ritz Restaurant and Palm Court at The Ritz Hotel
fits best to celebrate special events like Birthdays, Anniversaries or Social Functions.
For those who want to spend some serene moments of love on Valentine’s Day,
as a Honeymoon couple or just by being together, The Ritz provides exclusive privacy
and peace. Apart from this The Ritz is also predominantly renowned for its “Tea
at the Ritz”.
"There are few hours in life more agreeable than the hour dedicated to the
ceremony known as afternoon tea." These lines by famous author Henry James,
classifies tea being the most quintessential of English drinks. Maintaining this
exemplary tradition, everyday there are five sittings of the Afternoon Tea at The
Ritz’s Palm Court, a sumptuously antique-furnished cream-colored Louis XVI
setting. Varieties of teas are served here with delicacy food including lip-smacking
cakes, appetizing sandwiches, scrumptious creams and luscious pastries. Coffee and
hot chocolate are also served for those who do not like tea, and vegetarian and
gluten-free menus are also available.
Any sitting at Tea at The Ritz is to be booked at least six months in advance. The
guests visiting Palm Court, Ritz Restaurant and Revoli Bar have to wear formal jackets
and ties. The Ritz includes one more rule in its rule book for Tea at The Ritz and
that is restriction on carrying mobile phones.
Overall, even one day at The Ritz London leaves you captivated
with some of the most memorable, enchanting, unique and beautiful moments of life.
